NEW DELHI: A recent survey by the US-based Pew Research Center, revealed that 97 percent Indians believe in God. And that nearly two out of three pray daily. Now, this deep-rooted devotion is combining with technology, spawning spiritual entrepreneurs. An app, Sri Mandir, has been downloaded 10 million times. There are scores of others, seeking to address different aspects of the supply chain of spiritual pursuits. FaithTech is already a significant presence in rest of the world. Not only does this gamifying of faith enable democratization of access, it is also individualizing faith. Now, this trend is taking root in India.
