NEW DELHI: India invited the Australian Navy this week for the Quad maritime exercises to be held at the end of November along with the American and Japanese navies. The third India-U.S. 2+2 ministerial meeting has also been announced for October 27 in Delhi. American Defence Secretary Mark Esper and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will meet their Indian counterparts Rajnath Singh and Dr S. Jaishankar. A maritime information sharing agreement and the foundational pact Basic Exchange and Cooperation Agreement (BECA) on geospatial cooperation could be signed.
